Abandon all stereotypes, ye who eat here.
If Dante lived in a retirement community, he’d say the tenth circle of hell is reserved for bad dining.
But Dante never ate at Mirabella Seattle.
We all know the stereotypes about senior living food. Bland? Well, that’s not our brand. Uninspired? Far from desired. Lukewarm mush? Oh, hush! Look, our daily diners may be a bit older, but they’re culinary critics in their own right. They know quality food by sight, smell, and taste. They expect their high standards to be met at every meal, and our culinary staff delivers in every bite.
Let’s dig into the appetizing details.
It’s table stakes to say we use fresh, local ingredients and that we accommodate all kinds of dietary needs. You should expect that from any senior living community worth its salt. Our culinary team always kicks things up a notch. For example, residents enjoy events like monthly wine dinners with wine pairings for each course, and frequent cooking demonstrations by our executive chef. Our on-staff pastry chef is the talent responsible for the pastries in Dolce Vita Bistro and the three weekly desserts (including one with no gluten ingredients).

See our Sample Lounge MenuOur Vineyard Room is a private dining room, featuring customized menus you can create with our catering department. And while we wouldn’t count your private residence as a venue exactly, we also offer room service. Dine in your bathrobe, eat while soaking in a bubble bath, chow down during a “Lord of the Rings” marathon—whatever you like to eat, wherever you want to eat it.
Put your money where your mouth is.
Nobody wants to waste food or money. And you won’t, thanks to our easy-to-manage points system. Here’s how we do it here:
- All our dining venues operate on points, so you don’t need to carry cash or card
- 500 monthly points are automatically included with the monthly fee
- Every menu item lists its corresponding point value, so you instantly know what you’re using
- Points can be used for up to four guests per meal (your spouse will have their own points)
- Check your points balance in a number of ways, including our community’s intranet
Points are used for everything from on-the-go-meals and alcoholic drinks to room service and community dining events. You have total control over your monthly dining budget. If you prefer to cook your meals in your own kitchen, you don’t lose any points. We only deduct points for the food and alcoholic beverages you order through our dining plan. It’s a meal plan that’s built for the way you like to dine. We think Dante would’ve found this approach to be quite heavenly.
