You absolutely have to meet these people.

Have you ever met someone and thought, I could be friends with them? If you haven’t, then you need to meet the people who live at 116 Fairview Avenue in Seattle. That’s our address, which is their address. And these are just a few of the people you really ought to meet.

Meet Barbara.

South Lake Union’s easy access to Seattle is great, but Barbara loves the residents and staff even more. You name it, she’s involved in it—Resident Council, Active Arts Committee, music and art classes, and tons more!

Meet Sue.

Sue is super active. She loves to walk to the lake, to Seattle Center, to Pike Place Market, and to downtown venues like Seattle Art Museum and Benaroya Hall. And she’s hip to the young vibe at Mirabella.

Meet Sally.

Being by South Lake Union, downtown, and the Seattle Center is super exciting, as is having a pool and fitness center for Sally’s swimming and exercise routines. She also loves her committee work, lifelong learning, and music programs.

Meet Janet.

Janet is active in tai chi, musical presentations and lectures on all topics, and the ever-popular ukulele group. She also makes time for her grandkids, both here and in Hawaii, and travels often.

Meet Ann.

Ann loves the bustle of life outside the community doors. She can walk in any direction and find something interesting to see or shopping to do. And bus service around Mirabella is great!

Meet Judy.

Judy truly loves the convenience of our SLU location. She sold her car within months of moving in as she found she could easily go anywhere from Vancouver, B.C., to Portland by bus, train, or light-rail.

Meet Linda.

Linda has lived in Seattle her entire life, so she wanted to stay in the city close to her family and network of healthcare professionals. And she treasures her community “family” at Mirabella.

Meet Alice.

A long-term resident at Mirabella, Alice has enjoyed having downtown access, as well as access to all the fun activities inside—including educational speakers, wellness activities, and the more informal “get-togethers” like meals, clubs, and drop-in games.

Meet Eddie and Dennis.

Eddie and Dennis moved from Montlake after living there for 28 years. Their search for a community was a big decision for both of them, and they explored many options. They both thought Mirabella felt so different from everywhere else they considered, calling the community tasteful and stylish without being sleek and impersonal. And they’ve both felt completely welcomed by staff and residents alike from day one.

Watch this.

Hear a few residents talk about the culture they’ve found here.

Watch this, too.

Downsizing is, in one resident’s words, dreadful. But downsizing can be done! These people tell you how they did it.
